The Shark's Wisdom Tooth

A Short List of Principles to Live By

Joan H. Young
The Shark's Wisdom Tooth:

● Nobody cares how smart you are.

● You don't have to talk to be a good conversationalist. You just need to ask the other person questions. Develop a list of questions you can always fall back on.

● Everyone has at least one good quality and one deep hurt.

● Everyone has something to contribute.

● Never take the interstate if you have time to take the back road.

● If you've got it, use it- let others flaunt it.

● "Never give up" may only be bull-headed, not right-headed. Be sure you can tell the difference.

● Everyone has a handicap; some people's are just more obvious than others.

● Everyone has some area of life where they are not following God's perfect plan for their life; some people's are just more obvious than others.

● Spend money on experiences not things.

● 60, 30, 15, 10, or even 5 minutes spent on a project or towards a goal gets you closer than saying "I don't have time today."

● Just because someone doesn't say "thank-you" doesn't mean they are not thankful.

● Just because someone doesn't seem to change their mind doesn't mean that you have not influenced their thinking.

● If the cause is important, then win, but you don't have to win just to have a good time.

I liked the one about how you don't have to win to have a good time.
