The Shelter

Through a Dog's Eyes

*Shell*
They took me away,
so far far away

My sister and I alone together,
so hungry we were as light as a feather.

We were taken to this loud, obnoxious place,
Forced to live in very a very small space.

Only let out to feed and and relieve ourselves,
the keys where a tease upon those shelves.

Person after person walked on by,
Passing us up like we where covered in flies.

Then one day while I was asleep,
My sister was gone, with out even making a peep.

I was so upset I became to bark and jump about,
Please please someone let me out.

Days went by people came and went,
Everyone was to worried about the money to be spent.

Until one day a young couple came to check me out,
I began lick, bark and prance about.

They picked me up and gave me a bone,
man did I so want them to take me home.

To my surprise i was picked up and put in a car,
It seemed like hours but was actually not far.

I was filled with, anxiety, excitement and fear,
I hoped this was home, but nothing was clear.

We walked in the house and I seen all my new toys
I knew then these where the people to whom with I'd share all my Joys.

With my new family, I grew and grew

I knew these would be the people to see the commitment through!
