The Shoe that Fits

Robert Guinn
Shoes are the workforce of society, and we constantly overlook their importance. Unless were talking about fashion or what brand is popular or trendy we really couldn't care less. Well everyone should take the time to find a pair of shoes that will fit their personal and financial needs. Nike and Reebok are higher end recreational shoes and New Balance and Vans can also be a bit expensive, so in this competitive market just what kind of shoes should you buy? Well let's take a look at these four major brands.

Reebok is a well known foreign shoe manufacturer that makes a good quality product. Their shoes for sports activities and day to day wear are extremely comfortable, as well as fashionable. In the same pair f Reeboks you could play Tennis, go to school, walk the dog, go to work, and where to a party, they are versatile in every sense of the word. Their prices are a bit high, you will expect to pay between 50$ and 60$ for a decent pair, but if you find them on sale pick them up.

Nike is an American based shoe company with a wide following. They have comfortable and versatile footwear, but I find them to be a bit hard on your feet. Nike fits the bill when it comes to certain events, but they are not for every occasion. Their price range varies form 40$ to up and over 100$ I don't find Nike's to be all that durable either, the few pair I had tore apart in less then half the time as my other name brand shoes.

New Balance is what the name implies, balance. They are awesome casual wear shoes and last a long time. By far this brand name is the most durable shoe I have yet to encounter, putting up with such activities like, tennis, fishing, day to day travel and so on. They give great support and as comfortable as any other shoe on the market. They lack a bit in the fashion department, as most of the more popular shoes are Nike, Reebok and Vans, but New Balance has a rapidly changing image. Their prices are just like everything else about this shoe, well balanced between 25$ and 45$ a great shoe for your average consumer.

Vans are known as skating shoes, their ultra wide style is perfect for riding a skateboard and they are popular with most active teens. They lack a bit of comfort, although you may enjoy the extra wide fit as it allows your foot to breath a bit better. These shoes are very fashionable in certain crowds but not in others, so they lack some versatility that other major brands have. They can come with a steep price tag but if you love skating, then these are the obvious shoe choice for you.

There are a ton of other brands around that make fine quality shoes. Wal-Mart for instance sells a cheap knock off pair of shoes that I got for 10$. They have severed their purpose well, working in the yard, running the lawn mower, and other around the house chores. They work like an old ratty pair of jeans in the sense that, I don't wear them in public, only around the home. So it all just depends on what you're looking for. Also try shopping online for new pairs of brand name shoes, I guarantee you'll find some surprising deals on some of the hottest footwear around.
