Chicago is a very dog friendly city, but there are a lot of places that people do not know they can bring their dogs. One of these places is the Shops at North Bridge, better known as the Nordstrom mall.

Yes, the Shops at North Bridge mall on Michigan Avenue is dog friendly! There is even a dog "hospitality bar" located on the third floor next to the escalators near the entrance to Nordstrom. It contains water, dog treats and bags to use in case of an accident.

Almost all of the stores in the mall allow dogs. To be safe, it is a good idea to check with an employee before entering a store with your pooch. Due to health codes, dogs are not allowed in the fourth floor food court area.

If your dog needs a snack, you can stop in Three Dog Bakery on the third floor. This dog treat emporium offers homemade dog treats that will get your dog's tail wagging.

So the next time the snow is falling or a heat wave strikes, bring your four-legged friend to the climate controlled comfort of the Shops at North Bridge.

The Shops at North Bridge is located on Michigan Avenue just north of the Chicago River. There is also an entrance to Nordstrom on the corner of Wabash Avenue at Grand Avenue.
