The Shrunks: A Toy to Help Your Child Battle Their Fears

Angel Vee
Is your child still trying to fight their fear of closets monsters, under the bed monsters, or maybe just afraid of thunder? Well this new product line the Shrunks will be coming out between the months of March-June. They are gonna be a huge phenomenon in my eyes, because so many children in the world today experience some of these most common fears. These fears need to be helped now before they get worse. So what a fun way of conquering those fears with these adorable plush toys that have a non-threatening face on each one of them.

Some of these fears that children have are under the bed monsters, thunder, aliens, pillow man, closet monsters, or just simply afraid of the dark. By purchasing one of these Shrunks toys it will help them battle that fear, but in a fun way. These Shrunks toys will be hitting the shelfs in many popular stores like Gap, Walmart, Target, and even Toysrus. They will come in three different sizes to choose from, which includes large, small, and medium. If you want to buy the large sized one expect to pay around thirty dollars. The medium sized one will cost you around twenty dollars and the small one will cost you around ten dollars or so. The small one is really tiny, but it will be great for your child to place on their backpack, purse, or even clip on to their jeans. This way they can conquer their fears at all times and feel secure no matter where they are.

These fears are very common in todays world, but can be very difficult for a parent sometimes not knowing how to get rid of this fear for their child. I know from experiencing the monster fear with my baby girl it's not a easy task. Yes you can make up fun stories, make them think the monsters are gone, or even make a princess or king spray for them to spray the monsters away, but how long does that actually last? My girl was doing great with the princess spray that I made up for her, but every now and then she tells me they are back. So knowing this new line is coming out I feel it will have such a positive result for the child. Your child will be able to actually sleep with the toy so they can feel more secure having this toy by their side at all times. This company will also have a website where you can oder these toys on line. Their website will launch May1st, which will be www.shrunks.com. Along with these plush toys their line will also consist of monster sprays, a sleepover bed to help your child have no fear sleeping somewhere else besides their own bed, and many more great options for your child.

I think the Shrunks are more about helpping kids overcome the fear themselfs. Kids these days are afraid of the dark, going to school and of course the Bully. Kids need to believe in themselves and take the first step. After reading some of the articles, I think this is the purpose as parents and the Shrunks'. Have our kids become more independant and courageous. For example: their line of dolls are based on common fears that kids have. Kids overcome their own fears, by helpping the fear itself. Not bad!

Shrunks comes the German word 'Closet" and the Greek word meaning '' To Laugh" and what eliminates fear, is Laughter.
