As a fellow animal lover I myself own four dogs and eight cats. If I could I would gladly take in more. I love animals so much and treat them like my own kids, considering that I don't have any kids. I am sick of every where I look all I see is animals being abused or killed for no reason. Even at the dog pound they don't even seem to make an effort into finding a good home for the animals. They keep them for about a week and if no one claims them they euthenise them. I just wish they would put a little more effort into finding these poor creatures a descent home instead of treating them like a piece of garbage to be thrown out and burnt.
If we could make a little more of an effort into getting our animals spayed and neutered then we could slow down the process of animal cruelty. I know it is expensive and that is why we need more help in getting this done. I have always said that once I have a little bit of extra money or if I ever win the lottery then I will do everything in my power to help get animals spayed and neutered and help find descent homes for them. I would love to open up my own non profit shelter and take in every stray and abused animal that I could.
When I look into the eyes of my dogs and cats I wonder how anyone can hurt them. I guess it is a mental thing or maybe just a pure evil thing. Or maybe it is a mixture of both. All I know is there is too much of it in this world and I alone can't save all of the animals. I know that there are a lot of people out there that love animals just as much as I do and wish they could do more. But without money and the means to get the money there isn't really too much we can do except love the animals we have and try to help out others as much as we can. I just wish in all of my heart that there was more that I could do. I can't stand for things like this to happen but it does and it always will as long as there is evil in the world.

Post a CommentI'm a HUGE animal lover too! What's your favorite position?
Animal cruelty makes me sick to my stomach. I'm a HUGE animal lover and that behavior, in a way, pisses me off!
We should all love animals because they are such excellent companions. Unfortunately though not everyone thinks like we do and they think of animals as punching bags. It is sick and I hate it so much. It tears at my heart so bad.
I agree - I'll never understand cruelty. I adopted a cat two years ago from a shelter who was abused. For the first month I had her, she wouldn't leave one room in the house and she spent most of her time cowering in a closet. It was heartbreaking. Two years later she now roams about freely, gives "head butts" and is extremely affectionate, but still gets terrified by loud noises.
I agree with you so much. Animals have become things God never meant them to be...symbols, status, etc. Two of the best ways to help the fight against animal abuse are to report any that you might see,and to donate to organizations that help with fighting animal abuse.Good article.
