The Sims 2 Cheats (PC)

This article will provide you with a list of cheats for The Sims 2. Some of these cheats will make the game a lot easier, others will make the game behave in ways you'd never imagine.

Activating the cheats is not difficult and you should not make mistakes more than once. When the game is loaded and you're looking at your family, hold CTRL + SHIFT + C, to activate the cheat box. Once the cheat box is up, you can type any of the codes below to get the desired outcome.

kaching

The first thing you will want with a cheat is most likely money. Typing in the word kaching gives you 1000 simoleons right from the start. You can use this cheat as much as you want and it will continue give you money.

motherlode

There's a good chance you don't want to repeat the previous cheat over and over, to get a lot of money. Instead, if you type in motherlode, you'll receive 50,000 simoleons all at once. Using the cheat above will allow you to have a large bank account within a few minutes.

clear

In the chance you want to hide all of the cheats you inserted into the game, type the word clear. This will remove all of the cheats from the top of the screen.

-w

Typing in -w, will put the game into a window format. This will give you the ability switch between The Sims and your desktop very easily.

-f

After using the -w cheat to put the game into window view, you might want to switch back to full screen. Putting in the code -f will put your game back to the normal view.

unlockcareerrewards

Usage of this cheat will allow you to unlock the career rewards in the game.

exit

Once you are done putting in the codes you want, type "exit" to remove the cheat box from the game. Opening the cheat box again is simple. Hold CTRL + SHIFT + C, as you did from the start. The cheat box should then be available again.

Listen to Own MP3's on the Sims Radio

When you purchase a radio on The Sims, chances are you don't like the music it's playing. Look on your desktop and find your favorite MP3's. Open up "my documents" from your computer. Then click on the "EAGames" folder and now the "Sims2" folder. Once in there, go to the music folder and open the radio station you want. Drag your MP3's into the radio station folder and restart your game. You should now be able to hear your own MP3's on the game.
