Sinus pain can be relieved by using a few of Mother Nature's own goodies. Dr. Jordin Rubin, author of "The Maker's Diet", says that using essential oils can be really helpful when dealing with various ailments. when dealing with sinus headaches, Peppermint Oil and Eucalyptus Oil are wonderful assets to your medicine cabinet. The aromas are uplifting, but they help to open up the nasal passages. In fact, when quite a bit of Peppermint Oil is added to your vaporizer, it can almost set you back due to its potency. It's very strong, but when inhaled even at a distance over time it provides quite a bit of relief. Peppermint and Eucalyptus Oils can be found at any health food store in your area. There are so many different brands out there, so it's best to ask the store owners or those who work there and they can steer you in the right direction.
One other great tool that I found out about and I love, is a spray called Sinus Buster. I do believe that this Sinus spray may be the strongest nasal spray on the planet! It has Capsaicin in it, which is a pepper extract. This stuff is strong, and as a warning, it will make you feel as though your brain has been invaded. However, it was welcome relief as opposed to the headache I have been suffering for the past two days. The headache was gone in seconds, and I was so thankful to have found this treasure. Using it one time won't knock it out entirely, so don't get me wrong, but I would have to say out of everything I have tried, this is a keeper.
There are so many things on the market today that you can try, and everyone is different. Some have had sinus problems that were so overwhelming, they have had to have their sinuses drained. I had a friend who did that, and it isn't recommended. It can be a miserable experience, but his sinus cavities were so congested, for him that was the only way out at that time. He encouraged me to find other solutions because the surgery was so unpleasant, and waking up was painful. These solutions he says, are definitely worth a try.
If you are suffering, talk to your doctor. They may suggest something that you have never thought of before. It is always worth a try. With any of these products, it's a matter of trial and error before you find what works best for you.
