A little off the beaten path, but well worth the walk, The Sitting Room offers up a bit of Europe right in Queen Anne, a neighborhood in Seattle, Washington. This quaint little bistro is bursting with charm. The warm candlelit room is furnished with a mix of vintage sofas and armchairs and rustic wood tables. French posters and shabby chic knick-knacks add to the straight-out-of-Paris vibe.

A rustic a la carte menu that lends itself to sharing boasts some drool-worthy dishes including the Tartine, a French baguette lightly baked with prosciutto, fig preserves and gorgonzola; the Pasta with Pesto Béchamel; and the Roasted Beet Salad with goat cheese with orange vinaigrette. All menu items are affordably priced under $10. Make sure to save room for dessert-the tiramisu is one of the best in Seattle.

The cocktail menu is equally appealing. With palette-pleasing options like the Pomegranate Cosmopolitan and the Cucumber Martini, it's hard to go wrong. The Sitting Room also features a well-stocked bar and sizeable wine list.

Stop in for happy hour between 5pm and 7pm or 11pm and 1am for deals on food and drinks. Try a glass of the house red or white (usually generously poured for just $4.50) or pick one of the appetizers to nibble on. The Roasted Almonds or the Mediterranean Olives are guaranteed to satisfy and are a mere $3.

Enjoy the slow pace and laid-back atmosphere as a pre-cursor to your evening out or for a low-key night of conversation with friends. Don't come here if you are in a hurry, this is not an experience to be rushed!
