Facebook has over 200,000,000 registered members; and with those numbers Facebook may one day become the dominant site. So what makes it possible for both Myspace and Facebook to be completely free to their users? How can they do this? The answer is that they are payed by their advertisers. Buisness men and women who will pay lots of money to have their ads shown on high traffic websites like this.

Myspace was first launched in 2003 and was founded by two men, Tom Anderson and Chris DeWolfe. When someone first opens a Myspace account the first friend that appears in their friend space is Tom Anderson. For that reason, Tom has become more widely associated with founding the site. Facebook on the other hand Is considered to be founded by a man named Mark Zuckerberg, with the help of two of his college roommates named Dustin Moskovitz, and Chris Hughes.
