The Socks and the Shoes

Seth Joyner
The socks and shoes are never at peace
Arguing daily, they never cease
They can't stand to be together
No matter what the weather
"All of your sock friends are lame."
"You shoes are all the same."
"For protection I have you beat."
"I always cushion the feet."
"You've always smelled since we met."
"You'd stink too, if you were wet."
"With me not around her feet would be bare."
"If it wasn't for me you wouldn't see wear."
"You have a great big rip in your sole."
"If you fit right, there wouldn't be a hole."
"Hey, your just to thin anyway."
"Well, your color is an ugly gray."
"You were had from an on sale rack."
"I see now your on the attack."
"Your right I am, I protect feet from bubble gum."
"You shouldn't be proud, that's just dumb."
"She needs me more, one day you'll see."
"I'm always closer to her feet than you'll ever be."
