I am a fat, little bird.
I have brown feathers
and am squat,
for I'm built close
to the ground
that I walk on.
I have brown feathers
and am squat,
for I'm built close
to the ground
that I walk on.
I 'm not glamorous
like my brother Peacock,
with his long, slender feathers,
as blue as the deepest part of the sky.
And I'm not tipped
with jewels,
nor am I decorated
with a crown.
But God has gifted me
with a song in the morning.
I sing,
and I sing to the sun.
And oh, what a melodious sound
I make!

I enjoyed this Shirley. We are all fat little sparrows that God never forgets
great poem
This is so very special Shirley. Even the tiny sparrow has a purpose and if God takes notice even when a tiny sparrow falls to the ground, how much, much more does He care and consider us, His beloved children, if we are born-again. This is truly wonderful. Thank you. :-)
