The Stage Stop is my second home. I frequently find myself lured to its excellent food and captivating atmosphere. I am a regular customer of the welcoming committee. Not only do the employees learn your name in a few visits, they add you to the "frequent diner" list; ensuring you are rewarded for enjoying time with them. What more could anyone want in a good establishment? The Stage Stop is located just off I39 on HWY 153 in Mosinee, Wisconsin.

Jim, the always pleasant owner, keeps the place running smoothly and consistently. He welcomes suggestions and gives out laughs; free of charge. The timely service crew continues the initial feeling flowing throughout your visit. The cooks are mindful and eager to please the most finicky of eaters. The counter is weighed down with tons of delicious delights to make the mouth happy and the stomach satisfied. Even the entrance holds a few surprises for visitors; informative: pamphlets, fliers for area events, and tourist attraction destinations. Again, I ask, what more could anyone want in a good establishment.

I have been living in the Mosinee area for six years. The small town is filled with historical monuments, good fishing holes, and breathtaking views. The big part of a small town is the food. Visitors actually avoid stopping if they are unable to locate a nice place to rest up and refuel. Why check out the library or River Park on an empty stomach? Who can relax in a boat while constantly thinking of food? The easy highway access, makes the Stage Stop a great place to jump off, eat, and jump back on; without missing a beat or getting lost.

One day, I was feeling adventurous, made the extra three mile trek, past other eateries; to Stage Stop. The parking lot could easily be a home for a dozen semis. The homey decor, outside the restaurant, brought a pleasant feeling to me. Upon entering the double doors, my children began searching through the souvenirs. I was happy to see how comfortable they were. I chose to sit in the JR Saloon; a bar at the entrance of the building. Immediately, colors and paper were set out in front of the girls; further grabbing their attention. By the end of the awesome meal, we were all satisfied and glad we chose to dine there. Within days, I found myself back; enjoying the company of my hosts.

On my third visit; my name was on the check handed to me. I was now a frequent diner member. Excellent! For every $100.00 spent, I receive a $5.00 coupon. The savings is nice, but is just the cherry on top of a delightful treat. I try different menu items regularly, and have found all to be of great value and good quality. The daily specials are always prepared perfectly, the soups are fantastic, and the large TVs are always on the right channels. Why would I want to stop anywhere else? This is the place to be.

About a week had gone by. I was short on time and tight on money. I finally made my way into my favorite booth. It couldn't have been more than one minute, the server sat down across from me; concerned. "How are you doing, Tina? Is everything OK? I haven't seen you for a while." I was stunned, shocked, amazed, and grateful all at once. Such an outpouring of genuine concern; touched me deeply. When does that happen? I instantly found my second home.

Now, I enter the doors with "Hello, Tina!" coming from every direction. They go out of their way to ensure all is well; before even taking my order. When my life is in turmoil and I need a quiet place to drink coffee--they are there. When I need to celebrate life's happiness'; they are there. The bartender makes a great drink, too. The pricing on all the items are more than fair; they are a steal! Did I mention the quarter barrel birthday? Only $25.00 for one to keep your good times rolling!

Next time you need to find a place to eat, rest, relax, and enjoy; the Stage Stop is the place to be. When there is no where else you'd rather be...the Stage Stop is the destination. When there is no place you need to be; join the crew for a nice comforting visit. Say "Hi!" to everyone for me! See you soon.
