The Stain

I wonder if there is a stain.

At the base were the timber sat.

There should be a stain.

Were god and earth met.

Though thousands old it should still remain.

For how could it be washed by mere rain.

There must be a stain.

If I placed my hand there ?

Could I feel his pain?

No, I could not bear!

Though ages old it must be there to find .

A stain like that not even time could hide.

There should be a stain.

Marked beneath the sand.

There should be a stain.

Were they crucified a savior as a man.

There should be a stain somewhere on this land.

To mark this world as they marked his feet and hands.
