The Star Auto Service: Business Review

The Star Auto Service is located on the corner of E Beltline Rd and S Bowser Rd. It looks like any other typical auto service shop, but you'll be able to easily identify it with its large yellow sign.

There is adequate parking on the grounds, but the parking lot is shaped a little odd and can be slightly difficult to maneuver if it's crowded.

There is a small area inside with a TV, chairs, and reading material for customers to wait while their vehicle is being serviced. The waiting area is sufficient, but a little dusty.

Staff:

We were greeted immediately when we walked through the door. The staff was very friendly and attentive. They got a detailed description of what services we wanted before they began working and did a very good job making sure that we understood them and that they understood us. One of the Mechanics even took the time to go for a ride in our car, so that he could get a better understanding of the problem we were having with the car.

The staff was available most of the time when we had questions or needed assistance. They seemed very honest and did not pressure us into getting anything done on the car that we didn't want to.

Service:

They were able to take the car back within fifteen minutes of our arrival (we were there for an oil change), and we were out of there within thirty minutes. We asked them to check out a few other things on our car while they did the oil change. They were able to identify the problems and were honest about the urgency of repairing them.

When they finished servicing our vehicle they got us checked out quickly, thanked us for our business and invited us to come back should we need any further service in the future.

We checked with other auto service businesses before having 'The Star Auto Service' take care of the other issues they found in the car. The other businesses' prices were significantly higher than 'The Star Auto Service.' We decided to go with 'Star' and they made room for us that same day, got to work quickly, and had us out of there in less than an hour.

Overall Impression:

It can be difficult to find an auto service shop that is honest, fast, and dependable, but that's exactly the impression I have of 'The Star Auto Service.' After having a number of negative experiences with recent auto service shops, I will definitely be returning to 'The Star Auto Service' for my future auto service needs. They're prices are better, their service is better, and I trust them.
