What was once known simply as The Living Seas is now so much more. Now called The Seas With Nemo and Friends, you can still see all the wild marine life you used to see, but thanks to the magic of Disney, there's something pretty special swimming around in those tanks these days. Thanks to new technology, Disney has actually made it possible for you to see Nemo, Marlin, Dory, Crush, Bruce, and all their friends swimming side by side with some real fantastic sea creatures.
The entire attraction is truly a sight to behold. The aquarium itself holds more than 5 and a half million gallons of water, that's one of the largest in the world! There are over 2,000 real live sea creatures in the aquarium, from jellyfish to dolphins, and even real live sharks. If you want to get closer to your friends from the movie, you will have plenty of opportunity. You can take pictures with Bruce the shark, or even have a conversation with that surfer dude turtle we all love, Crush.
The story that adventurers take part in is somewhat similar to the movie. During a field trip, it seems that Nemo has wandered away, and everyone is on a quest to find him. You get to see the whole thing unfold, but not from your typical screen watching perspective. Instead, you find yourself looking up from under the sea, with all the sea life and even the hull of a boat above you. When Nemo is finally found, and reunites with his friends and his father, Marlin, they all actually appear to be swimming with the more than 2,000 other fish in the aquarium.
This attraction brings you the best technology has to offer. It is truly a sight to behold. The wonder of Nemo and the magic of Epcot come together to bring you an attraction that feels more like an event- and it is one you won't soon forget!
