The Stores Are Few, but the Sales Are A'plenty!

Black Friday Sales in Sumter, South Carolina
Neighborhood: Sumter
Sumter, SC 29150
United States of America
As we all well know, the stores will be packed and the lines long this upcoming Friday morning. Some of the stores are opening as early as five o'clock in the morning. There is a good chance I will still be asleep, but if you are one of the brave souls who dare to venture out into the madness...don't miss these savings while you are out!

While I consider Sumter so be a small town, there will be some big sales happening around town.

Kmart, located at 1143 Broad Street, will be opening their doors at six in the morning on Friday. For five hours only, they have some pretty impressive deals going on! Wal-mart, located at 1283 Broad Street, is opening at five in the morning with savings lasting until eleven. And Big Lots, located at 1121 Broad Street, is opening at six am, also.

A few similar items on the hot list are on sale at more than one store. Prices vary by maybe only a dollar so you may want to choose which store has the most opportunities for you to save and not only which has the lower price. Time is always a factor, as you seasoned veterans of Black Friday Sales are well aware! So picking up as many items as possible at one stop is key!

Some of the duplicate sales include GPS navigational systems, digital cameras, sewing machines, and kitchen appliances! Wal-mart, for instance, is offering a Garmin Street Pilot c330 GPS for $128.88 while Kmart offers the Nextar S3 Navigational System for $129.99. Both offer pre-loaded maps of U.S. with color displays.

For digital cameras, Wal-mart has the Sony Cybershot with 7.2 MP, 3x optical zoom and a 2" LCD screen for $79.87. But if megapixels aren't the most important thing to you, Kmart has the Kodak C613 with 6 MP, also 3x optical zoom and a 2.4" LCD screen for only $69.99. Wal-mart, however, is advertising the better of the digital camera deals with a Kodak Z710 7 MP camera with 10x optical zoom and a 2" LCD display for only $149. To me, that takes the cake because the MPs are high, and the optical zoom is great!

Wal-mart has Kmart beat by about $5 per item on Sewing Machines and Slow Cookers, but again, features make a difference. The Brother sewing machine at Wal-mart for $54 only offers 22 stitches, while the Kenmore brand at Kmart for $59.99 is a 41 stitch machine. The slow cookers, however, coming in at $15 Wal-mart, $19 Kmart both are 7 quart cookers, and I honestly don't know much else you can do with a slow cooker other than comparing capacity! Wal-mart does have an awesome selection of small kitchen appliances including a 2 quart slow cooker, a 5-speed hand mixer, a 2-slice toaster, a 10-cup coffee maker or a mini chopper, your choice for $3.98 each!

But most of you aren't out there beating down the doors for kitchen appliances, now are you? So let's take a look at what the kiddies want! The Chou Chou Mommy Make Me Better Doll is available at Wal-mart and Kmart with $1.02 price difference. Kmart is advertising Lego building sets, buy 2 get 1 free and their DS Lite or PSP handheld purchases reward you with a $25 Gift Card by mail. But other than that, Wal-mart is hands town taking the cake on the toy selection with classic board games for only $5.88, 20" girls' or boys' Quest bikes for only $29, and back to the good old days with Transformers assortment toys for only $19.76. And these Wal-mart prices are good through Saturday while supplies last! But don't forget about Big Lots with a 27" plush Elmo for only $6.

But for the big kids in your life, yes, the men, Kmart has the Craftsman 19.2 V Drill with a 25 piece bit set, battery charger and bag for only $39.99! You can also find a Coby DVD player at Kmart for only $9.99 after mail in rebate. Big Lots also has a 4-in-1 18V Cordless Power Tool Set with 2 batteries for $39.99 and an XCooper Sound Chair for only $88!!

But after all this running around, you are going to want to relax. Maybe you should pick up the Swivel Rocker Glider with Ottoman at Big Lots for $188 and give yourself an early holiday present! After all the hustle and bustle, you deserve it!
