The Story of Berry & Kiwi

Berry and Kiwi's Great Adventure!

Albert Chang
There once was two juices who lived throughout the day and night, serving the people of Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner. The first juice was named Berry, and the second juice was named Kiwi. They were both born from the same tree, and have lived for many ages. These two juices roamed the lands and took care of the inhabitants that lived within their domain. They would make meals and bring them to the people according to the peoples' preferences. The people of Breakfast often preferred to be served their meal in the morning, so the two juices would often first arrive at the gate of Breakfast Manor, where they would carry their ingredients and concoct a wonderful meal for the inhabitants of Breakfast. Berry would give those at Breakfast Manor magical hats which would spin and sparkle while they ate.

The Land of Lunch always had to have their meals in the middle of the day, when the sun would gaze straight down at them and make their meals more enjoyable. Kiwi always remembered to bring a magic gigantic umbrella for the people of Lunch, so that they would not forget to finish their meals. This umbrella was as big as a forest, and could shrink down to the size of a straw. As long as the umbrella shielded the people of Lunch from too much sunlight, their meals were prepared absolutely right.

The people of the Den of Dinner would always have their meals during the evening. Neither the magical hats of Breakfast Manor nor the umbrella of the Land of Lunch could sate the people of the Den of Dinner. Kiwi and Berry did not know what to do for a while. They sat and thought while the sun set. At last, the two juices realized what to do! The two juices made an agreement with the moon and the stars to feed the people of Dinner with reflections and moonbeams. These tasty tidbits were enough to keep the entire population of Dinner well-fed and rested. After feeding all of these people, the two juices would return to their temple. Here they would rest, prepare for the next day, and continue their lives as the two juices.
