Today, in this article, we will be discussing the history of Rise Against. Subjects displayed in this article about Rise Against will include when they were first formed, the band members they have and have had, as well as the albums they have released already and those to come. We will also be discussing the different record companies they have gone through in their rise to fame.

The band Rise Against was originally created in the year 1999. At the time, the band was not known as Rise Against, but in fact Transistor Revolt. The band members at that time consisited of Tim McILrath as lead vocals, Joe Principe as Bass Guitarist and vocals, Toni Tintari as the drummer, Dan Wleklinski (more commonly known as Mr. Precision) as guitar and vocals. In the year 2000, the band self-produced a demo album with a self-titled label. After signing with Fat Wreck Chords, which was about one year after their self-produced album was released, they began writing their first full-length album titled The Unraveling. Tintari and Wleklinski ended up leaving the band, and Wleklinski was replaced with a guitarist known as Todd Mohney. The band then began to create their second album titled Revolutions per Minute. The band changed their name to Rise Against in 2001, and released their first full-length album The Unraveling, and in 2003, released the album Revolutions per Minute. In 2005, however, Rise Against re-created their first album in oder to give it a few more tracks. The band toured alot in support of their first and second albums, including the Warped Tour in 2003.

Rise Against has come to release many albums since then including Siren Song of the Counter Culture, and The Sufferer & The Witness. Since then, Rise Against's music has been heard all around the world, and increased their popularity and fan base exponentially. You can view different websites for more reviews and even lyrics. Such websites include, but are not limited to, www.plyrics.com/r/riseagainst.html and also their official website www.riseagainst.com/. And if you are interested in viewing any of their videos, I would recommend going to www.youtube.com. All of their albums feature great hits in my opinion, but my favorite song by them so far just happens to be Prayer of the Refugee, which is featured on the album The Sufferer & The Witness. I would highly recommend that you check it out, it's just really great music.
