The Storyteller Guild ready to kick off again in Birmingham

The Storyteller Guild is a group at The Community House in Birmingham that devotes their time to enriching the life of children through books and storytelling. It's been around since 1993 and currently boasts about 125 members. The members read to children in multiple cities and hospitals around the area including Hazel Park, Pontiac and Oak Park.

The group, which has donated over $2,500 worth of books to schools, will kick off another year on Sept. 23 at The Community House from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. All are welcome and there is no charge to attend. The Youth Services Department Head at the Baldwin Public Library, Connie Ilmer, will share with the group the 2010 titles.
