The only thing holding the actors back in this movie, is the story sadly. Some movies have bad stories and some have good ones. This movie has none at all to be spoken of hardly. All that I could really digest from the movie is that Liv and Speedman are having some hard times now that his proposal to her was a failure. Then, for some reason nobody knows, a family of serial killers begins attacking them constantly trying to kill them. That's it. You never find out who the family is, or why they are doing what they're doing. As to not spoil the movie, I will just say is has one of the worst endings I have ever seen. The movie feels like a top notch controlled horror movie, but the story prevents it from ever becoming that. So if your just looking for a couple of good thrills and scares, The Strangers would be a great rental, just don't expect to be left with anything from it.
My Score: 3/5
