The Strength of a Man
A Poem
shows in the love he has for others
He dotes on his spouse and his children
He appreciates his parents for all they have given him
he is a good friend to everyone
fair and decent and honest
he has integrity
and is God loving
he works hard at everything he does
he depends on his spouse
but not to be his footstool
for he knows she is his best friend
and his equal
Though his arms are strong and safe and inviting
the strength of a man is not measured
by the weight he carries in them
but rather by the lightness in his heart.
