The Super Bowl Poem

Oh, I know...

Football and poetry don't mix.

Well, just you sit back...

And read this.

Just what is a

touchdown?

Did that man just

eat the ground?

Points.

They were scored.

Tomorrow.

He is going to be so sore.

I said an "Ow!"

I felt that tackle through my TV.

That looked quite painful.

Glad it wasn't me!

I have nachos and wings.

I have cold beer.

I don't know what is going on.

Hear me cheer!

I am for the team that wins.

I drive fans mad.

I change sides mid game.

I don't feel bad.

I want a win.

The best team that carries off the big trophy.

Winning is what it is all about.

Yes, I see.

There are tears shed.

At halftime.

My best friend made a bad bet.

I am glad the money lost isn't mine.

But, it may get better.

A last quarter comeback.

If my friend survives.

I think he just had a heart attack!

Good thing that I know CPR.

They just delivered a ten meat pizza to our door.

I am eating.

I don't care about the game anymore.

I never did.

It is the football spirit that visits every year.

That, I love.

I will be here again, ya hear?

Loving the halftime show.

Dancing around and singing.

I don't care what team wins.

Their best game, they will be bringing.

As I watch the end game.

Some of my friends high five.

Some cry.

Some claim to want to die.

OMG!

It is just football.

Another year, another game.

Right, you all?

I expect he men to act better.

Braver than this.

Oh, dang, sorry your favorite team lost.

Come here, I'll give you a kiss.

Here, at the chili, wing and beer bar...

I know if the team made it there, they deserve to win.
