The Supporters

John Smither
The supporters were all chanting, all tightly packed in
Some wore red, others wearing blue
The singing grew louder, it became quite a din
Neutral watchers amongst the crowd were very few

Come on you reds
Please, play well you blues
Stick to the game plan; just don't lose your heads
You must win, please don't lose

Both teams needed to win
Much glory was at stake
Nobody had scored yet, please someone just kick it in
It's now late in the game, too late for a mistake

A draw is not good for either team
For if that were to happen
The yellows would sneak in and end both of their dreams
If that were to be, no blue or red would be singing or chanting here then.
