If you are looking for a unique sushi experience, you will find one in Hoboken, New Jersey. With a decent number of sushi places in its one square mile, Hoboken delivers on all of your Japanese food needs. Here is where you will find the best sushi in Hoboken, New Jersey.

The Sushi Lounge, located at 200 Hudson Street in Hoboken, opens at 11:30 a.m. from Monday through Friday and at noon on Saturday and Sunday. They remain open until at least 11:30 p.m. on weekdays and until one a.m. on Friday and Saturday. During fair weather, the Sushi Lounge offers both indoor and outdoor seating.

The sushi at the Sushi Lounge is excellent, as is the rest of their menu. Their Hoboken Roll contains deep fried tuna, yellowtail and eel, topped with eel sauce, spicy sauce and tobiko. For those in your party who do not enjoy sushi, I highly recommend their teriyaki dishes: shrimp, beef, or chicken served with steamed white rice and seasoned stir fried sweet and sour vegetables.

What really makes the Sushi Lounge stand out is its high-energy atmosphere. Not only does the Sushi Lounge serve terrific sushi, it is a great place to hang out. The bar at the Sushi Lounge is always happening. The drinks are tasty and strong, and the music is upbeat and loud. The Sushi Lounge offers Happy Hour specials from four p.m. to six-thirty p.m. from Monday through Friday. The Sushi Lounge is also a really great place to bring a first date. The Sushi Lounge often gets a young, hip crowd, mostly young professionals who live in Hoboken and work in New York City. Dress is casual but nice.

The Sushi Lounge does not take reservations, but they do offer ample seating, so if there is a wait time, it usually isn't that bad. Plus it gives you a chance to check out their great bar. The prices at Sushi Lounge are a bit high, but you are paying for high-quality food and a great atmosphere. The restaurant does get a bit loud and crowded, so it is not a great place to bring children, and it is not for anyone looking for a nice, relaxing meal. But they do offer the best sushi in Hoboken.

Other sushi places worth checking out in Hoboken, New Jersey, include Sushi House of Hoboken, located at 155 First Street; Tamura II, located at 337 Washington Street; and Yama Sushi, located at 205 Hudson Street.

Thank you for reading, and I hope you enjoy the best sushi in Hoboken, New Jersey.
