The Talk - Update

Since the shows premier back in October, the ratings have constantly moved up the charts, the topics chosen have relevance and the chemistry the cast has is simply fabulous. In an earlier post I made the comparison of this show to "The View." This show has a far better chemistry than "The View" will ever have and the closest that it has come to that of "The Talk" is in the very beginning when Meredith Veira was a co-host. With Sharon Osbourne as the matriarchal figure and Julie Chen as acting more like and older daughter figure this show has what it takes.

The topics have been very interesting with a continued look at issues that affect most families in today's pattern of life. There have been several episodes that have focused on bullying, looking at why one is bullied, what causes a bully to act in the manner that they do, and what the victim can do to prevent from being further attacked.

There have been numerous shows on how to discipline your children when they fail to act in an appropriate manner and what may be the base cause of such outbreaks. And there have been numerous episodes related to food and you child's behavior. These shows provide a great deal of information which today's family can use and it's presented in a manner that most can handle. Whenever I have the chance to catch the show live, I myself feel as if I am actually there. The way the show is presented I feel as if I'm right in my neighbor's living room, kicking back and discussing issues that are very much relevant to today's social climate.

The panels overall mix is exceptional, with their diversity in age range and family relational values. Their individual patterns of living and ways of rearing children make this "mommy caucus " fun to watch, providing essential material that we all need to look at in today's society. The show has presented an educational outlook on numerous issues related to the core values of the family and the panel and their guest provide valued information that is essential in today's society. Good luck and continued success!
