Made it to the World Series,
Cheers in Tampa Bay!
Made it to the World Series,
Cheers in Tampa Bay!
Boston proved quite tough,
But the Rays overcame them,
And showed Mass. our strength.
Nineteen-ninty-eight
We debuted, and laughingstock
We were since that time....
Soon the Rays will show
The "world" that Tampa baseball
Is among the best!
Now the World Series
Becomes the Rays' grand diamond
On which to shine proud.
Will the Rays win then?
We soon shall know when we face
The Phillies this week.....
