The Tea Party Convention

No Revolution Here

Bill Moyers portrays both party's of the legislature as "equal opportunity hypocrites." Obviously they are not about 'our' business but are securely in business for themselves. All the rhetoric directed toward the public is a fog designed to obscure the regular antics that historically passes for 'business as usual.'

Yes, we can vote them out and we repeatedly do so but these oustings have little effect because another brash idiot of the same political ilk is immediately put in place. How often have you studied a ballot infused with and dominated by myriad bad choices? This makes the public outcry and anger pathetic. Making noise and shaking fists is futile posture without ideas, dialogue and at least some theoretical solutions.

Sarah Palin is a good example of an empty headed noise maker. I believe she has deliberately achieved her highest stature. Money, celebrity and attention (and an expensive wardrobe) being her only desire. Why bother with the pesky duties of public service (the governorship) when notoriety can be ghost written, staged and scripted? She is a fitting figurehead for the tea baggers.

Much of our anger is childish and selfish. We've witnessed banker envy, tax mortification and the grasping desire for a return to the days of more. Any responsible adult would be embarrassed but good men remain still and silent. We've run out of lies to tell the children. Many have only their snide cynicism to share.

We grow impatient with our president, the platitudes, empty rhetoric and playful interviews.
Lead or leave.
Cut the bullshit,
quash the rhetoric
and be a president.
Get pissed,
cure the congress,
admonish the senate,
don't be a pawn.
Fire your advisors.
Ask for help from
the nation.
Don't be a hoopty
with a vocabulary.
Bully up like LBJ
or Teddy.
Squeeze their balls
Like FDR.
You dash our hopes and hide in the same house that held the reclusive Bush. What's new? Same wars, old grid lock, posturing, politics and business as usual, money rules.

Picking off a crook in Congress is as hard as getting a doctor to admit a mistake. The old bastards die off too slow and only retire to become lobbyists.

Shall we start a revolution? March to Washington and ask them all to leave? Call out the army, bash our heads like a new Chicago, shoot us down like Tlatelolco or Kent State, call in the death squads, make us disappear. It worked in Argentina. Dip the cloth in blood not tea. Our lives have become too easy. We while away with our gizmos. We are babies impatiently waiting for food.
