In general, the interest in Metro Ethernet is only going to continue to grow as time progresses, much like the network itself. It is not unusual to imagine that the technology will likely evolve as years progress. This also means that the technology will improve greatly as well. In the future, it might not be uncommon for Ethernet to become available universally.
