The Tennessee Titans Will Make This Year's Playoffs

If you listen to NFL analysts and sport writers they will have you convinced that the Tennessee Titans are lucky to be 6-3. They will have you believe that the Titans are too weak on offense to make the playoffs. They will have you convinced that Vince Young is highly over rated and can't get the job done. Well let me be the first to tell you the analyst are totally wrong. The Titans will make the playoffs and may make a run at the Super Bowl. Here are a few reasons why:

Super Defense- The Titans may have the best defense in the National Football League. Lead by a super front four the Titans have been stopping almost everyone they played especially against the run. The Titans are led up front by Albert Haynesworth. He is quite simply the best Defensive Tackle in the NFL. Along side him you have Kyle Vandenbosh and Antwan Odom. These two are two of the quickest defensive lineman in football. As a group they get to the quarterback better than any group in the league. At linebacker you have all-pro Keith Bullock who is the general and leader of this defense. The secondary on this team is much improved with the likes of Nick Harper, Chris Hope and Cortland Finnegan. Add to the mix rookie Michael Griffin and the Titans have forgotten all about suspended Pacman Jones.

Great head Coach- The Titans have the longest tenured head coach in the league in Jeff Fisher. He is calm cool and knows the game of Football. He has a defensive mind and loves to pound the ball by running it. Coach Fisher has been to one Super Bowl and was one yard away from possibly winning it. Coach Fisher will help the Titans find a way to make it to the playoffs. He knows what it takes and he will get this team back into the playoffs.

Strong Running Game- Whether it was Eddie George or Travis Henry the Titans have always had a solid running game. This year is no exception. The Titans have relied heavily on Lendale White, second year back out of USC to carry the teams load. He has had several 100 yard games and been the go to guy this year. He will continue to get better as the season continues. To complement White the Titans have Chris Brown and Chris Henry. Both have been solid and given the Titans a great 1-2 punch. The Titans ability to run the ball on the ground is a reason you will see them still playing in January.

Vince Young- Say what you want about Vince Young, as long as you mention that he is a winner. Everywhere he goes he is a winner. Sure he is still improving in the passing game. But who cares. He is getting the job done. And when the game is on the line he finds a way to win games. He will continue to find a way to win for the Titans and lead them into this years playoffs.

Forget what the nay-sayers say. The Titans will make the playoffs in 2007.

I have to disagree with you on this one. The Titans are fortunate to have the 6-3 record that they do. Divine intervention? Pure luck? Not quite sure on that one. And here is why I say they are fortunate:Vince Young has thrown one TD pass since the Titans' bye in Week 4. I'll give him some credit, he did show signs of life Sunday, throwing for a career-high 257 yards. Still, the offense has scored just 13 points or less in five of nine games.

You can't continue to win big games only scoring 13 points or less. They are ranked 22nd with only 297 yards per game. They are ranked 12th in sacks. Now they are ranked 2nd behind the Steelers with yards per game, which is very good. They are ranked 27th in number of tackles and at least 10th or below in other categories.

Offensively, they are ranked terrible in the big categories, the one's that count. 17th in points, again, 22nd in total yards, 29th in passing yards (I thought Vince Young could throw the ball), and 4th in rushing. Thank
