The Terrific Toddler: The Best Websites for Preschool Activities

Great Sites for Activities on Demand

Stephanie White
Preschool Express: This site has endless categories to explore. The toddler section provides activities grouped by season and others that are more general. Most of these activities are very simple and incorporate things that most parents have around the house. There is also a section for songs and rhymes, to help you expand your "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star" repertoire!

PBS Kids: Make coloring exciting for your kids by giving them a new coloring sheet instead of handing them the same coloring book every time. You can go to this site and print color pages about their favorite characters from all of the PBS Kids shows. When you go to certain shows, most have activity sheets that you can print. Each show has a different spin on the activities so it is not like you will print out tons of connect-the-dot pages.

Sprout: This website is very comprehensive and also features many of your kid's favorite characters. On this site, your child can do interactive games or watch and listen to songs or scenes from various shows. As parents, you can visit the Crafts & Coloring or Recipes sections to print coloring pages, craft templates or kid-centered recipes that you can do together.

First School: Here, you will find countless printable activities ranging from coloring to crafts, tracing to games. These activities are mostly academic in that they teacher numbers, shapes and letters but you can also find printables for various themes like seasons and holidays.

Print Activities: This site has hundreds of printables. They are organized by type of activity on the top and along the side, they are organized by theme. For example, if you are looking for St. Patrick's Day pages, you can select that holiday and a collection of various activities from word searches to crypotgrams will appear!

Toddler Toddler: What a wonderful variety of activities! This site provides complete instructions and plans for games, crafts or other activities. They will tell you what supplies you will need, provide templates to print and give tips to make the activity go smoothly.
