This got me to thinking (Heaven forbid). Back in my day we wouldn't even say the word penis much less take pictures and put it around for the world to see. First of all we didn't have the means to do this, and secondly it just didn't occur to my generation to do something like this (I'm more than a half a century old, scary thought).
Recently I've been thinking more and more as to where our world might be heading. With the advent of internet technology and cell phones, we have seen an explosion of changes. We are moving at such an incredible pace. I wonder if we are developing a generation of followers rather than leaders. With so many distractions how do we find time to study, think, and be original and creative?
Young men play video games all night long. I'm not talking about children here. I'm talking about grown adult men. I believe that this is a relaxing distraction up to a point, but when someone spends all their free time on the computer I think that this is bad. There is so much more to life than becoming a computer zombie, or fighting off the zombies.
People used to complain about parents letting television be a babysitter for their children. Now, not only do we have television, but there are DVDs, cell phones, computers, video games, etc. I'm not against technology, but I wonder if we might need to slow down the use of technology for our kids. Especially unsupervised use of technology.
I know you can't always be around to safeguard your children, but you can find ways to control what they see and do. That's why companies have created software and other features for the internet and the television. Use those parental control features. Pay attention to your kids.
Then there are the people that go the entire opposite direction. People who don't want to learn any type of technology. There must be a happy medium. Just don't let technology rule your life, or your children's lives. Is all of this technology good? I don't have the answer. It certainly is fun. Let's just make sure that we don't destroy our humanity in the process.
Angel's article was good. It made me think about the world around me, and reminded me that we live in a world of instant gratification. It empowers people to use technology in a lot of ways. Even in destructive ways.

Awwe thanks for the mention and link, and I really enjoyed your insight on this excellent work, go girl!!
Good read Pat...I totally agree with you!
Yes, a happy medium would be nice. I would also like to see people get interested in something besides sex. I may sound prudish but sex should be special, otherwise, it isn't. Anyone can have sex. It's a lot harder to build something meaningful with someone. Hey, article idea! Thanks!
Why does everything have to be about cheaters and divorces to get attention?
Smut sells. It 's what many people want.
Interesting analysis.
Pat, I think that moderation in all things is best! Good article.
In many ways, I wish the technology explosion had never happened. I don't like the path it has taken.
