Silvery moonlight on fresh fallen snow,
Twinkling trees wherever you go,
This is the time of Christmas.
Hot apple pie and mistletoe dreams,
Colorful bows and bright paper reams,
These are the things of Christmas.
Innocent smiles and cinnamon cakes,
The soft whoosh of skates on new frozen lakes,
The children know it's Christmas.
A crackling fire and a comfortable chair,
The smell of fresh pastries hanging in the air,
And in your heart it's Christmas.
Spread the joys of the season to those near and far,
The spirit's within you wherever you are.
For the ones you love it's Christmas.
