The Time Keeper
The time keeper waited wheels turning
like some cryptic avatar of death himself
Infinitely patient, midnight would be bittersweet
contract to be repaid not subject to vicissitude
Flaccid fatigued life would end in pulchritudinous revelry
so the industrious time keeper eternally waits as always
Contemporary retro life devoid of chastity about to implode
as retrograde mortality measured in moments begins to melt away
Another outcast soul will be claimed for eternity
and the time keeper continues to wait once more
