The Time to Revolt is Upon Us!

There is a Time for Change, and the Time is Now!

What is wrong with America these days? To be more specific, what is wrong with the American people these days? To be even more specific, American kids. I had a conversation the other day with a kid, around 20 or so, who is going into the Army, and it scared the crap out of me.

We got into a heated discussion about how he think Bush gets a bad rap and isn't nearly as bad as he is made out to be. This, obviously, got me going, but what really bothered me was the fact that he had no real concept of the way things have happened. Example? How about when he told me that Bush went to Congress for permission to declare war and the Congress said OK. As anybody who picked up a newspaper in the past six years should know - Yes, Bush went to Congress for permission, but NO, they did not OK it. They actually told him not to go to war, which is why it wasn't classified as a war. No war = No permission. I'll give him not knowing how things really happened (to an extent) if he didn't pick up a paper or anything, but his reasoning was asinine. All he had to say was that Bush got the OK from Congress because he was supposed to. Yup, you heard me right. Since the Constitution states that a President has to go to Congress to start a war, he just assumed that's the way it happened. After I point out the obvious fact that his President didn't call it a war so he wouldn't need the permission he called me a liar. Yes, this idiot believed that this was always classified as a war and nothing else.

After a good fifteen minutes of arguing with this guy about this, and feeling like I was arguing with a ten year old, we ended finding more reasons that he was a moron. Just to sum up some of our discussion, and save you the same headache I had afterwards: The Bush administration follows the Constitution to a tee, nobody in the Bush administration has ties to oil or any other interests in the Middle East, this government is always honest with the military, and no Generals or high ranking military officials have ever come out against Bush and his cronies for their lies and actions during this pointless war. Those are only a few of the headaches this ass gave me, but trust me when I say there were many more.

Now, I can understand people believing this criminal of a President (well, actually wanting to since the government is supposed to be looking out for us), but if they will just blindly follow what they are being fed, then there is no good reason to believe anybody. Especially right now, with the state of the country and our impact on the World, it seems ridiculous to me to not pay ANY attention at all. Those of you that have read my rants for awhile, and I know there are still a couple of you left out there, know that I am a strong advocate for doing your God Damn homework. We have luxuries that no other time period has ever had, but there are still sheep out there that are more than willing to just follow. Why? What the hell does this say about our future?

The thing this country needs right now is a revolution! It's time for a change, and we can't leave it to Capitol Hill to do it. This was made very evident by the BS job the Dems have done since they took power of both Houses. Like most of the country, I was ecstatic at the last elections. Come on, the Democrats have taken the majority of seats, and now they have the power to keep this criminal administration in check, or at least a little bit. And what happened? NOTHING! They have come out with empty promises and held long sessions to debate and vote on resolutions, which are nothing more than them telling Bush to his face that they don't agree with him. That doesn't do a anything!

As I said, America needs a revolution and needs one now! I'm not talking about a bloody revolution in the way we got our independence, but using these tools that no other generation has been afforded, change can be made. How many articles and commentaries have been thrown out there, even since I was a kid (which was awhile ago), about how these new generations have no cause? Isn't that way my generation is called Generation X? Guess what, now we have it. This is our Vietnam, no matter what the press and government would have you think. The similarities are blatantly obvious: a war the majority of people do not agree with, fighting an enemy we can't beat, no true reasoning for going to war, death tolls on both sides just piling, and many more.

Since I brought it up, let me point up on simple fact about the American Revolution: All of the reasons for us fighting for our independence can be pretty much summed up in the same thought --- To overthrow a tyrannical government. How is the British empire of that day much different than the Bush administration of today? One word: ignorance. I am not talking about the ignorance of our current administration, which, believe it or not, really isn't that high. These people are not stupid, but actually pretty damn smart. That is the only way I can explain them pulling the wool over millions of people's eyes and getting away with it. The ignorance I am speaking of is our ignorance; the ignorance of the American people. Again, since we have such amazing tools (namely the internet) at our disposal, there is no good reason for this stupidity. Just turn on your computer, do a search on anything with the government (or just scan the news headlines), and BAM, you're better off than most of the country. Doesn't sound that tough to me!

This modern day revolution, as with almost any revolution, is going to be fought and won on the backs of the young. Even the American Revolution was fought by primarily young men. That is what scared me the most about this conversation with this idiot. He was completely clueless. But thankfully, I had another conversation that morning as well. This second conversation was held with an 18 year old who not only had a brain, but used it. I was actually surprised to make this discovery about him, which isn't saying anything against him, it's just that I worked with him and this wasn't a side of him I had seen before. When I say he had a brain and used it, too, I mean it. This kid schooled me in politics and political history, which isn't really that tough to be honest, and even threw in a quick comment or two to help shut the idiot up. He enjoys writing and debating politics with his friends and really knows his shit. This kid, and his friends, are the reason I have a renewed faith in our future. It is time for the revolution, and kids such as this bring hope that the right side will come out victorious in the end.

The final thought I want to leave everybody in this train of thought is this: Wake up and speak up! Realize it really is time for the revolution, and it needs to be now. Use every tool available and instigate the change that needs to come. I also implore anybody with any thoughts or comments to post them here, or email/message me if you don't want your name out in public, and lets get together and be active. I can't do it alone, and I guaranty I am not the only person who sees the need for a revolution. Wake up and speak up! That is what Americans do, and why we have the freedoms in place (for now) to allow us to do so.

What constitution? We don't have one. Oh! you mean the one that this country was founded on? Hey that one was destroyed during the Eisenhower administration. You know when we started to give our individual earnings to those who weren't working. Before the almighty american dollar things were shared by those in need for trade. You know, work for food and clothing and housing. That doesn't exist anymore. You don't have to work you just go the "almighty a hole in the sky" called government programs.
Now we don't even have to be bothered by morality and righteousness we have "laws" to keep us in our places". Who has laws? You know the ones who had morality and righteousness from the beginning, those who founded this country..........

OK... I agree with you that it is now time... but calling someone an "idiot" for believing in their beliefs is not the way to proceed.

Our founding fathers did not call Loyalists "idiots"... they simply went about their rebellion... which by the way I am not calling for an armed rebellion but instead a peaceful revolution through peaceful means... had to get that in there so the men-in-black-suits don't show up tomorrow.

Instead, we need to have patience and calmly educate people to the realities of this country. Only if they come to their own conclusions will they truly understand.

Robert said: "Isn't any one ready to start stealing from the rich and giving to the poor, literally."

Yes! Obama is ready to do just that!

I am so disgusted with all our spineless politicians. I am so disgusted that our politicians will not do anything about our borders. We have to secure our borders from illegals and terrorists first and then we need to fix our economy and boost the moral and deal with the fabric of America. Instead, our government wants to spend our tax dollars policing the world. The only way any people have ever been able to force change from their government is through revolt. The illegals need to go home and revolt against their government for change in their country and we need to do the same here. Forget trying to bluster at other countries to prove we still have authority. We need to build from within and be strong enough for mere presence to mean something to the world. Our government is not going to do it. They are weak, spineless crap and it is going to be up to the people to make change.. Let's go.
