With Every Passing Day, the Jay Leno and Conan O'Brien Drama Over "The Tonight Show" is Going from Bad to Worse
Latest update is that Rosie O'Donnell is now supporting Conan in "The Tonight Show" mess. Rosie says that Jay Leno should step aside and let Conan continue with The Tonight Show. Rosie says that she has always been a fan of Conan O'Brien and that Jay Leno should let the new guy drive "The Tonight Show". She said that Jay Leno needs to say thanks and move on instead of wanting to take over the show again.
Then we have Jimmy Kimmel taking a shot in "The Tonight Show" crazy-party too. While talking about the show, Kimmel joking told Leno,"Conan and I have children, all you have to take care of is cars. I mean, we have lives to lead here. You've got $800 million, for God's sakes... leave our shows alone."
David Letterman could not sit back and relax either, after his own late night shuffle long ago with NBC and Jay Leno. Letterman asked his audience if they knew about the trouble NBC was having with Jay Leno and Conan O' Brien. He then said that just like them, he did not want it to end either. (I for one am not with Letterman)
Conan said "No matter what happens, it's been a real honor to sit in the same chair as Steve Allen, Jack Paar, Johnny Carson, Jay Leno, and Jay Leno." Trying to get off the Tonight Show bandwagon gracefully? I think so!
Some reports are doing rounds that Leno has already signed a deal to take over "The Tonight Show". NBC has denied all reports at the moment.
All I can say is this is getting highly infantile. It was funny, in a lame way, for the first few days. Now "The Tonight Show" drama keeps changing colors everyday.
