The Top 10 Celebrity Blogs

Brenda Scott
The following are my recommendations for the top 10 celebrity blogs. These celebrity bloggers have something to say about a variety of topics.

David Beckham's blog discusses the D.C. United game, scoring a goal, and being handed the captain's armband at the start of the game. After all this time, it's nice to see him so excited about the game of soccer.

Zach Braff's blog talks about officially joining Facebook and how there are so many "fake me's" on Facebook. The last entries are from mid to late 2008 and talks briefly about Scrubs; however, he's been told he cannot talk about the fate of the show. He seems like a genuine guy.

Kanye West's blog shows us videos of his girlfriend, Amber Rose getting ready for a fashion show. His site talks about everything from architecture to art to furniture to cars, etc. I expected to see angry messages regarding is behavior toward poor Taylor Swift at the VMAs but nothing was mentioned. There wasn't a lot of verbage from West, but lots of pictures and videos about some of his favorite subjects.

Rosie O'Donnell's blog describes her new show "Love, Loss, and What I Wore" which opened Thursday night at the Westside Theatre in NYC. The show was written by Nora and Delia Ephron, based on the book by Ilene Beckerman. She also writes about her disappointment regarding the petition signed by some f her male celebrity friends to free Roman Polanski and how wrong it is to defend him just because he's a brilliant filmmaker. I salute her honesty and integrity!

Alec Baldwin's blog scripts an eloquent tribute to Senator Edward Kennedy's life. He talks about him as the only surviving brother that actually got to experience life, who died in old age under ordinary circumstances. He writes about how he lived on past his legendary brothers. He does however quickly gloss over Chappy. All-in-all, it was a very nice tribute.

John Cusack's blog talks about the brutality and torture carried out against human beings in Iraq, Afghanistan, and Guantanamo Bay after 9/11, and that most Americans knew about it. His blogs are mostly political in nature. I love him as an actor, but disagree with his liberal democratic views on just about everything else!

Dane Cook's blog promotes his "Isolated Incident" tour, and provides a link to Ticketmaster to buy tickets to his show. Most of the blog talks about his comedy show venues, and his selection process for inviting fans backstage after each show. Cook's a brilliant stand-up comedian and his show is wildly entertaining.

Michael Moore's blog promotes his "Capitalism: A Love Story" movie, though he should rename his movie, "Michael Moore: In Love with Himself." He spends most of his blog whining about the Republicans, or as he calls them "the rabid right" who he states derailed universal healthcare. And FYI Michael, the Democrats in congress always run for cover. This blog made my list for its' controversial subject matter.

Tom Green's post starts off with a poem and tells us where he'll be on his new comedy tour. He talks about the media tycoons owning the internet and his disappointment that most of mainstream America has chosen the path of least resistance, and the loss of idealism. Tom's an insightful guy with a lot to say.

Anna Kournikva's blog discusses her recent trip to Mexico City where she spoke to the young people there about being better human beings. She was in the company of some great people who also gave speeches, such as Oscar winner Forrest Whitaker, President Obama's campaign manager, the Co-Founder of Twitter and Biz Stone, and the President of Chile. Anna's a sweet person who uses her celebrity status for the good of mankind.

There you have it, my pick for the top 10 best celebrity blogs!
