For many of us stargazing is our favorite activity. We choose as our vacation spots, those which we think give us the greatest chance of catching a glimpse of someone famous. We attend local events and flock to local restaurants and bars just hoping that we will sit near someone we recognize from the big screen. If you are lucky enough to live in a big city like New York or California, seeing a celebrity is probably not that big a deal for you. But as for the rest of us we are constantly searching for those areas which celebrities frequent. And there are a few places that are known as the hottest spots for star gazing.

1. Washington D.C. would have to be one of these places during certain times of the year. Many of Hollywood's finest will be expected to attend the inaugural balls located in Washington during election year and other times as well. Of course they'll be at the balls but you might also get a chance to view one of your favorite celebrities by visiting some of the locals bars and restaurants. 2. Dubai
From pro football players to rock stars, politicians and opera stars the a-list for this area is very extensive and impressive. 7. Miami
South Beach is definitely the place to meet an actor, actress, football player or rock star. When it comes to celebrity spotting Lincoln Avenue is absolutely the place to go during the day for some afternoon stargazing. And when the sun sets, head out to some of the local bars and restaurants in the area to mingle with the stars.

8. New York
If you are hoping to catch a glimpse of someone famous, your best bet would be to sit in the lobby of one of the nicer hotels in New York City.
