9. Trista Rehn and Ryan Sutter, The Bachelorette, 2003 - It was real love and of the rarest kind, reality TV real love. After being rejected previously on a Bachelor episode the likable Rehn got the last laugh. She married a likable Sutter.
8. Ross and Emily, Friends, 1998- After endless episodes of Ross running after Rachel, it was relieving to see his love never ended when he accidently said "I do" to her instead of the bride.
7. Orry Main and Madeline Fabray LaMotte, North and South mini series,1985 - Viewers were relieved to see Madeline flee from her abusive ex- husband and marry man who loved her desperately.
6. Thelma Frye and Reverend Rueben Gregory, Amen, 1986 - Thelma during a tempermental moment joins the U.S. Army. Later she's sorry she did it. She thought she was in the clear until her wedding day. After she and her dream man say their nuptials two Army officers appear and carry her out the church.
5. Sonny Crockett and Caitlin Davies, Miami Vice, 1987 - He was the hottest man on TV, it was Miami and it was the gaudiest period of the 1980s. It was every ingrediant desired for one terrific excessive wedding in the decadent decade.
4. Dorothy Zsbornak and Luke Deveraux, The Golden Girls, 1992. The least likely girl to be a bride on the show gets hitched to a good man, who happened to be the uncle of her best friend and rival, Blanche.
3. Gloria Bunker and Meathead, All in the Family, 1972. Archie Bunker's daughter marries, Mike, the man Archie dubbed, "Meathead." Archie holds up the wedding and as the service waits a toilet is heard flushing. True to the Bunker character.
2. Lady Diana Spencer and Prince Charles of England, 1981. She and we both believed and wished for the fairy-tale that never happened. But briefly on that day we all beileved in it.
1. Laura Baldwin and Lucas Spencer, General Hospital, 1981. Nearly 28 years later, people haven't forgotten what a major event it was and that has to be a credited to something special.
