1. The Ahwahnee Hotel - This hotel was built in 1927 to give those visiting Yosemite a place to stay. This lavish hotel is adorned with many Native American aspects and the inside is just as gorgeous as the outside. Rates vary depending on the season.

2. Grand Hotel - (Mackinac Island, Michigan) Built in 1887, this hotel offers much history. Most notably, two battles in the War of 1812 were fought on Mackinac Island.
