The Top 10 Movies of All Time

Keri
I've decided to make this list to remind people of great movies or to introduce you to new movies. This list that I've generated is the best movies I've ever seen.

1. Girl, Interrupted

This movie is just an all around good movie. It also has a great cast which consists of Winona Ryder, Angelina Jolie, Whoopi Goldberg, and Brittany Murphy. Girl, Interrupted is about an 18 year old girl who tries to kill herself so gets admitted into a mental hospital. While there she befriends other patients and discovers who she truly is.

2. The Notebook

This movie is one of the greatest romance movies ever made. The Notebook is based on a book by Nicholas Sparks. The great cast includes, Ryan Gosling, Rachel McAdams, and Gena Rowlands. This movie is about a man who reads to his wife who has dementia. The book is about young lovers in the 1940s and get separated. The Notebook tells the sweet, romantic story of their relationship. I can't tell you how great this movie is. A must-see.

3. Pulp Fiction

I've heard mixed reviews about this movie. You either really hate it or absolutely love it. In my opinion Pulp Fiction is a great movie. The cast includes the likings of John Travolta, Samuel L Jackson, Bruce Willis, and Uma Thurman. Travolta and Jackson play a couple of hit men. Uma Thurman plays their boss's girlfriend. I think this movie is funny as well as dramatic.

4. The Silence of the Lambs

Now, this movie I think is the best out of all the Hannibal movies. It's about a FBI agent who tries to catch a serial killer nicknamed Buffalo Bill. While trying to catch him she gets help from Dr. Hannibal Lecter and discovers things about herself as well. Jodie Foster and Anthony Hopkins make this movie awesome. The other movies in this set is Hannibal and Red Dragon. Recently introduced was Hannibal Rising.

5. Juno

This movie stars new actress, Ellen Page, as Juno. Juno gets pregnant at 16 and decides to adopt the baby out an along the way the movie tells of her while waiting to deliver her baby. This movie is so funny and so real in a way. I would recommend this movie to anyone.

6. The Breakfast Club

A cult classic. This cast includes Molly Ringwald and Emilio Estevez. The Breakfast Club is about a group of completely different kids who have to spend Saturday detention together. During the detention they befriend each other but realize their friendship is only in detention.

7. Brokeback Mountain

Brokeback Mountain is a controversial movie. The late Heath Ledger and Jake Gyllenhaal play two gay cowboys in the 1960s. They meet while on a trip ranching sheep and get together. They keep it secret but eventually people find out. This dramatic movie is a very sad movie and a very touching movie. I love this movie.

8. The Wizard of Oz

Who can go wrong with this movie? This movie stars Judy Garland who plays Dorothy. Dorothy's house gets picked up by a tornado and she lands in Oz where she meets all kind of people and munchkins. She has to travel to Oz for the wizard to get her back home and the wicked witch of the west tries to stop her on the way. This movie is a classic and a great family film.

9. Halloween

They have recently remade this movie but I love the originals. Halloween is a thriller about Michael Myers. Jamie Lee Curtis stars in it as the girl Michael just happens to be after. He kills anyone in is way to get to her. They've made so many sequels of this movie that the first one is the only one really worth watching. The remake in 2007 tells a lot more about Michael when he was a kid and what he did to get into the mental hospital he broke out of. It also is decent but not as good as the original.

10. The Lord of the Rings Trilogy

These three movies, which are titled, The Fellowship of the Rings, The two Towers, and The Return of the King stars Elijah Wood as Frodo Baggins. Frodo's gotten ahold of a ring and has to go on a journey to destroy it. It meets interesting creatures along the way. He decides at one point maybe the ring should be his so does he destroy it? Watch and find out!
