The Top 10 Reasons to Savor Singledom

To make this short, simple, and sweet, know that there are tons of reasons why being single is great. My top ten reasons are the following:

10) You can have your name back. You won't constantly be referred to as so-and-so's girlfriend or boyfriend when being talked about by other people who don't care to remember your name.

9) There are other singles! Feel free to flirt or look at whomever you want without the feeling slightest bit of guilt.

8) Sex...You don't have to do it when you don't want to or feel pressured into having it if you're still waiting for that special someone.

7) There is no more worrying about someone else's feelings or happiness. Go ahead; sigh out a bit of relief.

6) You get to focus on yourself and be completely selfish. You no longer have to compromise on things. You can focus on what makes you happy, focus on what you want in life. Focus on whatever you want, because you're happiness is the only happiness that matters

5) You no longer have to listen to someone ramble about something you could care less about, like his new high score for instance or that big shoe sale at the mall she keeps raving about. Your ears get a break, go ahead and thank the god(s) or God you worship.

4) Finances...Spend a little bit of money on that video game or pair of shoes you've had your eye on, after all, it's your money. It is a part of that being selfish and not having to worry about someone else thing.

3) Advance in your career. Again, you don't have to worry about someone else, so you can take that job over in Japan or work those extra or different hours if you want. All the decisions are up to you make.

2) You have freedom. Do what you want, when you want, where you want, with whomever you want, for whatever reason you may have!

Now that I've said some reasons why being single is amazing, I can only think of only one reason to savor (using the term to mean appreciate), being single and that reason is:

1) You probably won't stay single forever, so you honestly have to enjoy it while you can! Savor it for as long as you can stand it...

...because everyone knows (or should know), that being in a relationship also has some great benefit!.
