The Top 10 Sexiest Top 10 Ladies of American Idol

The television show American Idol became a mega-popular ratings hit for the Fox television network. The core audience is assumed to be teen girls, who probably were not tuning in for the sight of the having abandoned ship captain of cruel Simon Cowell. However, there has been plenty of eye candy for the straight boys finding themselves tuned in as well. So, I have taken it upon myself to determine who the sexiest top ten female contenders on American Idol are. By top ten I mean they have to have made it all the way to the top ten section of the singing competition and since I write this in the year 2011 and cannot predict the hotness of the future, these selections are being made from seasons one thru ten. The American Idol Top Ten Sexy Females In The Top Ten list is now:

10. Kellie Pickler: The first sexy thing about Kellie Pickler is her accent and then, as made famous by American Idol, was her wide eyed girl experiencing the world naivety. Of course she is a well traveled woman having become a country music star on the road, so I guess it is the memory that is sexy. She does kind of wear too much makeup and is kind of rough looking in some pictures without it, but at the same time she still has that mystery sexy something quality to her.

9. Naima Adedapo: Sometimes Naima Adedapo from American Idol season 10 looks like an alien. She can be scary, especially when singing "pitchy." However, she has her moments when the hair is just so and those alien eyes of hers are beautifully seductive looking. Naima is a unique beauty and all the more sexy for it. Technically, there wasn;t a "top ten" for American Idol in season ten due to the "save" card being used on Casey Abrams making it remain a contest of eleven, but close enough.

8. Kimberly Caldwell: I did not watch American Idol the year that Kimberly Caldwell was competing. I first heard about her when she was dating American Idol winner David Cook. I also caught her in the opening bit of the "Wrong Turn 2" horror movie. Kimberley Caldwell has that photoshop kind of sexiness to her, a sharp type of beauty perfect for dolling up in magazine pictorials. It's not in her features, but rather her makeup and hair styling that these elements come from. Her smile and beaming eyes are a different girl and sexy outside of that.

7. Brooke White: I think Simon Cowell had the hots for Brooke White when she was on American Idol. She is a fine looking woman. I would say the only turn off is her oddness leans more towards annoying sometimes. Those golden curls of hers and the smile lines in her face make her another lovely sunbeam.

6. Megan Joy: I think Megan Joy kind of had a breakdown on American Idol when she was a contestant. She went from being a singer to a sarcastic comedian, kind of shrugging the judges off. Aside from natural good looks, what sets Megan Joy aside in the sexy department is her tattoos. Some women can pull of the inked look, some cannot, joyfully Megan is in the can-do department. Down her arms and to her feet, Megan Joy is a work of art.

5. Kelly Clarkson: The best singer to come out of American Idol to date, in my opinion, came from season one and it is Kelly Clarkson. She oozes personality and "spunk," which in my mind counters the critical assessments that she is too chubby. She is not meant to be a skinny girl and packs on the pounds when not hopping around on tour, but she manages to retain her sexy status all the same.

4. Pia Toscano: This season ten singer is a true vocalist; reminds me of popular ballad singers of the nineties like Mariah Carey. She also takes her sexiness serious, dressing ever so elegant and stunning. In behind the scenes videos Pia Toscano showed off a little bit of the fun girl behind the sexy -get-up, wrestling with other contestants, and fun girls are all the more sexy.

3. Haley Reinhart: Haley Reinhart from American Idol season ten is not the best singer, however, her voice has a very seductive quality to it. There are certain, bluesy notes that she hits and you wish you were paying $9.99 a minute to hear what she's wearing on the other end of the phone; or not wearing. Aside from her voice, she is very easy on the eyes, and has had her moments of being a bumbling mess, such as the stage performance where she smeared her lipstick all over her face with the microphone. She was probably seriously embarrassed, but the nice sense of humor she shrugged it off with was the tell-tale sign of a sexy personality.

2. Carrie Underwood: Kelly Clarkson may be the best singer from American Idol thus far, but Carrie Underwood is probably going to end up being the most successful. She seems like the spoiled head cheerleader, which is hot, but does commercials and television appearances from time to time that show a softer side. A blond made for posing on the red carpet, Carrie Underwood barely misses being the sexiest top ten female from the first ten season of American Idol.

1. Katharine McPhee: When I started this list I did not realize Katharine McPhee would win the number one spot. This brunette made her performances sexy when she was on American Idol, walking the stage barefoot, singing about going over rainbows, or something about a cherry tree now and again. She is a looker for sure, but what really ended up giving her the win was my research into the American Idol ladies for pictures of them without their makeup on. Carrie Underwood was not bad with less stuff globbed on her face, but Katharine McPhee in the pictures I saw was gorgeous! We all aspire to find a woman we can stand waking up to in the morning, and Katharine McPhee has that ever important, special, sexy quality.
