When it comes to the sexiest women of the Batman movies and the TV series, there are two very different categories: villainous vixens and damsels in distress. However, whether they are villains, lovers, or somewhere in between, the women in Batman's world have one thing in common: they are some of the sexiest women of the superhero world. Here's a look at some of the best:

Nicole Kidman as Dr. Chase Meridian in 'Batman Forever' - Nicole Kidman is one of the sexiest psychologists you'll ever see as one of the many women to become absolutely fascinated by Batman. Sure she ends up in the typical damsel in distress situation when she is kidnapped by the villains, but it's still fun to go back and see this gorgeous A-list, Oscar-winning star in one of the funnier Batman movies.

Michelle Pfeiffer as Catwoman/Selina Kyle in 'Batman Returns' - When I think of the sexiest women of Batman's world, Michelle Pfeiffer in her shiny black suit against snow white skin and bright red lips will always be the first that I think of. Catwoman has always been one of the best Batman villains because of her ability to seduce Batman as well as do battle with him, and Michelle Pfeiffer's take on the kitten with very dangerous claws makes this one of the more entertaining Batman movies to watch.

Kim Basinger as Vicki Vale in 'Batman' - She's the first of the modern women of Batman, but she'll always be one of his sexiest love interests. (I'll even look past that horrible 80's style for this list.) She may be one of the weaker women in Batman's world, but the dark knight in shining honor has to rescue a damsel in distress every now and then to keep things interesting.

Alicia Silverstone as Barbara Wilson/Batgirl in 'Batman & Robin' - Alicia Silverstone goes from clueless to batty as one of Batman's two sidekicks in one of the sillier Batman movies, and while she doesn't have the same sex appeal as the other Batgirl on this list, she still manages to shake things up a bit between the boys. But Alicia Silverstone, who apparently enjoys nude gardening, better watch out for the next of the vampy villains on this list while doing her weeding.

Uma Thurman as Poison Ivy in 'Batman & Robin' - Poison Ivy is by far one of the sexiest villains of Batman's world with her seductive ways and deadly lips. This femme fatale makes one of the not-so-good Batman movies a little more watchable, and there was no better choice for the awkward doc turned vampy vixen than Uma Thurman.

Drew Barrymore as Sugar in 'Batman Forever' - She didn't have a big role, but I love the idea of Two-Face having two women for both of his sides, the bad side named "Spice" and the good side named "Sugar". Drew Barrymore's take on Sugar is Marilyn Monroe-esque one, and while she may not be as naughty as spice, she's definitely the sexiest of Two-Face's sides.

Yvonne Craig as Batgirl in the Batman TV series - They just don't make sidekicks like they used to! I love the retro purple Batgirl suit, and villains better beware, because this Batgirl might knock them out with a few comic-book 'Blams!' when she shimmies her hips. (Her waist-to-hips ratio will definitely keel you over.)

Julie Newmar as Catwoman in the Batman TV series - She's the original Catwoman, and one of the best Batman villains that could double as a pinup girl. She'll forever be one of the sexiest women of the Batman world, so to her I say, "Thanks for everything, Julie Newmar!"

Lee Meriwether as Catwoman in the 1966 Batman movie - Another 60's-style Catwoman that tore up the silver screen with her purrr-fectly manicured claws, Lee Meriwether only got to play one of the best Batman villains for a day (but what a day it was!)

Eartha Kitt as Catwoman in the Batman TV series - Okay, so this is a list full of kitties (what do you expect? This is the internet we're talking about here!). Eartha Kitt was the first black Catwoman (and the best; sorry, Halle Berry!), but while she was one of the sexiest Batman villains, Eartha Kitt is probably most well-known for her classic, cutesy Christmas tune, 'Santa Baby'. (I'd hate to see Eartha coming down my chimney in a catsuit; she wouldn't be bringing Christmas gifts, but rather taking them).

Other women of the Batman world include Maggie Gyllenhaal and Katie Holmes, both of whom played Rached Dawes, model Elle Macpherson, and Vivica A. Fox in a cameo appearance as Miss B. Haven.
