The Top 10 Sports Songs

Play Hard, Rock Hard, Live Large

K. E. Satyr
Your team's down and you need to get the players and the fans riled up. You need to get pumped for the tailgate party, or just your average game. To rock your team to victory, put these on your playlist.

10. "Song 2" - Blur
It's mindless rock. Put it on, get in the huddle, and get excited.

9. "Rock and Roll Part 2" Gary Glitter
Words aren't always needed to convey emotion. Rock out to the "hey-ay" and all is well.

8. "Na Na Hey Hey Kiss Him Goodbye" Steam
"He doesn't love you/the way that I love you". Who knows what this has to do with sports. The point is, kiss the other team goodbye, you're the champion (to be discussed further in post number 1).

7. "Bang the Drum All Day" Todd Rungren
What do drums have to do with sports? It matters not when the dance is so infectious as it is with this song

6. "Eye of The Tiger"-Survivor
It's you. You're the eye of the tiger. It's no one but you and only you can do. So buckle down and prove that an underdog boxer from Philly can rise to greatness. Or something like that.

5. "Here I Go Again On My Own" Whitesnake
Nothing like dumb 1980s hair metal to get everyone pumped and rockin. Ignore any angsty subtexts to get the best mileage out of this song

4. "Don't Stop Believin' " Journey
Easy chorus with a the message every sports movie ever is based on. The verses be damned.

3. "Ballroom Blitz" The Sweet
For some reason, sexually ambiguous glam rock is just fivolous enough to be great and inspire others to greatness.

2. "Whoomp! There It Is" Tag Team
High energy verses with a ridiculously catchy refrain, and an incredibly catchy beat, this will get the crowd on its feet in no time.

1. "We Will Rock You"/"We Are the Champions" Queen
Like ying and yang, A-side and B-side, you can't have one without the other. One tells you the cause, the other the effect.
