Modern Warfare 2 Activision

This first person, war shooter rocked video game sales record with a $550 million haul in the first five days. It also set records with the amount of online users. The game features one of the most controversial and violent scenes in the history of video gaming.

Left for Dead 2 Valve

A first person zombie shooter that builds on the success of the original by introducing new weapons, more frequent saves and some daylight settings. This installment also features a new cast of characters and is set in New Orleans.

Assassins Creed II Ubisoft

Assassins Creed II is a third person action adventure game that involves the exploits of a family of killers in 15th & early 16th century Italy. The open world design enables players to wonder through Venice, Rome and Tuscany while kicking serious butt.

Resident Evil 5 Capcom

A third person survival shooter game, Resident Evil 5 takes place in Africa where players must turn back a terrorist threat. Despite criticism of racial overtones, Resident Evil 5 is the best-selling installment of the seven game series.

New Super Mario Brothers Wii

Some new tweaks to an old theme resulted in critical acclaim and brisk sales. This series has a multi-generational, family friendly appeal.

Wii Sports Wii

This combo game features Tennis, Baseball, Golf, Bowling and Boxing. It was designed to show of the strengths of the Nintendo Wii and delivered with great reviews and sales.

Uncharted 2: Among Thieves Sony

A cinematic tale of swashbuckler Nathan Drake who is on the trail of a legendary jewel with awesome powers. Uncharted 2 won Game Of The Year at the recent Video Game Awards on Spike TV. It is only available on the PS3 and doesn't enjoy the sales of multi-platform games.

Dragon's Age: Origins Bioware

This role playing game was at the top of many "best of" lists. It requires players to decide using might or magic while moving through an epic world.

FIFA Soccer 10 EA Sports

This game franchise keeps getting better with improved graphics and online simulation.

DJ Hero Activision

Considered by reviewers to be the most immersive of the music/video game genre, DJ Hero enables players to "mix" up to 100 songs for the dance floor.
