The Top 10 Ways that Politicians Use the Internet

It was recently reported that Cuban dictator Fidel Castro is an avid Internet surfer, and that he reads between 200 and 300 news items a day. And he also contributes by blogging regularly on the Cuban blog site "Granma." He is also especially fond of the website "Wikileaks", which recently published a number of classified United States secrets regarding the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. Surprising as this may be, a number of other world dictators also frequently engage in online activity. The top 10 examples are listed below.

1. North Korean dictator Kim Jong-Il frequently posts on a number of Twilight fan sites as " Big Panda." Officials inside North Korea speaking on the condition of anonymity have said that Kim Jong-Il has cried after watching each of the Twilight movies.

2. Former head of the defunct USSR, Mikhail Gorbachev, often surfs the Internet looking for information regarding how Pizza Hut stock, a company which he partly owns, is doing on the stock market. He also is a big fan of the "Second Life" phenomenon and was recently married in cyberspace to a woman in North Dakota that he has been corresponding with for years.

3. Former US vice president Al Gore is the webmaster behind several environmentalist websites and often uses the screen name, "Mother Nature." Mother Nature once considered "blowing up an iceberg" to show people that global warming is serious.

4. Iranian president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad is reportedly a big fan of the television talent show "America's Got Talent", even though in public he spouts fiery rhetoric at the United States. Rumors circulating in Hollywood say that the Iranian president used his connections to get David Hasselhoff kicked off the show as he often refers to him a, "drunk idiot who couldn't judge a Kindergarten talent show."

5. Hillary Clinton recently got an iPad as a birthday gift from Bill, and she routinely uses it to review commentaries and articles from the 2008 presidential election. An aide who tried to wean her from her iPad, which she uses approximately 14 hours a day for work and recreation, was fired a month ago.

6. Former Pres. Jimmy Carter, who is often tasked by the CIA to retrieve kidnapped Americans from countries run by dictatorships hostile to the United States, receives a large amount of classified information on his laptop each morning. He says that he also uses his Internet connection to check the prices of peanuts every day, even though he is no longer in the peanut farming business.

7. Pres. Obama, who is supposedly homesick for Chicago, uses the Internet to order a variety of classic Windy City dishes such as deep dish pizza and sausages, which are then flown to the White House each Friday. He also enjoys watching live WebCam shots of Hyde Park and other historic Chicago areas in order to "feel like he's home."

8. Vice President Joe Biden frequently uses the Internet to publish articles under the pen name, "Mother Goose" to prod the administration into allocating hundreds of billions of dollars to build a luxury Amtrak fleet, and to make goofy statements without the president knowing about it.

9. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu frequently goes online to search for military gear which could be used by Israeli commandos. He also reportedly likes watching Oprah and the children's television show " Sponge Bob Square Pants" online.

10. Sarah Palin frequently uses the Internet as well under the pseudonym, "lifelong learner", in her quest to become literate. Palin was embarrassed by Katie Couric when she was she was asked during the 2008 presidential elections what magazine she reads. She sadly was unable to come up with the title of one magazine, however, many people may not know that the governor is illiterate, though she is now trying to correct this.
