The Top 10 Worst Movies Based on a Comic Book

1. Catwoman - http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0327554/ A young woman who has cat like senses such quick reflexes, excellent sense of smell, flexibility, and ability to leap unlike any human is challenged with the dilemma to be a good citizen or a hardened criminal. I'm sorry Halle Berry but I do believe that this your worst film ever. There was no convincing that you had cat-like abilities. The movie's storyline failed to capture my attention; poorly written.

2. Dick Tracy - http://www.allmovie.com/work/dick-tracy-13660 Big action comedy based on Chester Gould's 1930's comic strip. Not for a second did I believe that Warren Beatty pulled of being the infamous Dick Tracy. Beatty's portrayal did not even meet my expectations. I was really unsatisfied with the flow and direction of the film.

3. Mystery Men - http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0132347/combined Just a group of amateur superheroes trying to defeat a ferocious villain who threatens to attack their city. This movie was not very well researched or written. The talent of the actors in this film was non-existent.

4. 300 - http://movies.yahoo.com/movie/1809262865/info King Leonidas along with 300 men fight the Persians at Thermopylae in 480 B.C. There was too much blood, guts, and killing that it was a great distraction. The very important point of the story was lost.

5. Sin City - http://video.movies.go.com/sincity/ A black and white film set in the town of Basin City that follows three people's point of views. The film's transitions were very choppy and the dialogue was hollow. The direction of the film was lost within the view points of each character.

6. Hulk (2003) - http://marvel.com/universe/Hulk_(Bruce_Banner) Based on the classic Marvel comic by Stan Lee. Bruce Banner is a research scientist who has an accident and ends up transforming into an enormous, raging, green monster when provoked. I really do not believe that the true essence of the comic was captured in this film.

7. Hellboy - http://www.hellboy.com/ A demon raised by Nazis turns and becomes an avenging angel. I think that Hellboy's back story could have been explained better. A lot was lost in translation.

8. Elecktra - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Elektra_(2005_film) This is a spin-off from 2003's Daredevil. Even though she was good for Daredevil, I don't believe she had enough substance for a whole movie dedicated to her.

9. Fantastic Four - http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/fantastic_four/ Based on the Marvel comic with the same name. Four astronauts gain superhero powers when they survive a cosmic collision. This would have been a better movie if the caliber of actors was higher.

10. X2 - http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0290334/ The Xmen band together to fight a threat against the president. There was no originality in the writing of this movie. It was pretty boring and predictable.

I agree with most of them, but some of them I liked.
