Freestyles calls itself a sports bar but in actuality it is one of the favorite nightspots for the under 30 year old crowd. Located under The Sushi Bar restaurant in downtown Winter Park, it is packed on weeknights and weekends throughout the ski season.

For those looking for drinking and a festive atmosphere, Freestyles has a Happy Hour everyday from 4-8 pm with 50% off all drinks and $1.00 PBR's. Ladies Night is every Thursday night. On select nights, local DJ's spin tunes till you drop from exhaustion on the dance floor.

Need a break from drinking and dancing? Freestyles offers lots of games like dome hockey, foosball, darts, shuffleboard, and a slew of others. The darts and shuffleboard are free during Happy Hour. They also have 6 LCD TV's scattered around playing videos of snowboarding, mountain biking, and other extreme sports.

Eat before coming to Freestyles. It is a strictly over 21 nightclub and does not serve any food. They will however order food from the upstairs restaurant on occasion. If you need a smoke, you'll have to head outside the front door as Freestyles lacks an outdoor patio.

Winter Park Pub

Winter Park Pub or just "The Pub" to locals has been a staple in Winter Park since 1994. It is a favorite bar for bikers in summer and the apres-ski crowd during ski season. Located in downtown Winter Park, The Pub offers great food and live music year round for visitors and locals.

The Pub offers the atmosphere you'd expect from a ski town bar. The walls inside are covered with ski trail signs from the former Berthoud Pass Ski Area and old ski trail signs purchased from Winter Park Resort. In summer, The Pub has a motorcycle only parking area out front and a very busy outdoor beer garden.

Winter Park Pub offers good basic bar food in generous portions. The menu includes salads, sandwiches, burgers, and Chicago-style pizza. Most entrees are under $8.00 while the pizza can range from $10-17.00. Don't miss the $1.00 tacos on Taco Tuesday and the free pizza on Mondays from 7-9 pm.

The Pub offers some of the best bar Happy Hour deals in town. Held everyday from 3-6 pm, they offer specials on domestic draft beer, import draft beer, and well drinks. Wings are $0.25 and generous sized appetizers are only $5.00.

On Friday and Saturday nights, The Winter Park Pub often offers live music and it can get very noisy. Stay downstairs and dance or go upstairs for a little quieter setting.

Ullr's Tavern

Ullr's Tavern is the local's favorite bar in downtown Winter Park, Colorado. It opened in the fall of 2009 in renovated space formerly occupied by Bucket's Saloon. It quickly became the hands-down favorite. Attendee's at Freeskier Magazine's 2010 SIA Party at Ullr's agreed that Ullr's totally "Kills it".

Ullr's Tavern has a funky laid-back atmosphere for the strictly over 21 crowd. Live music is regularly offered on the stage near the main bar area - bands and open mic night Mondays. Local DJ's show their mixing skills when bands aren't scheduled. Heat up on the dance floor and then hit the outdoor patio behind the stage to cool off. Smokers can light up out there too.

Not into dancing? No worries. Ullr's regularly schedules pool tournaments on its two pool tables. There are also video games on hand at the back bar area.
