The Beechtree Restaurant is located across from the Brookwood Hall Park. Reservations are recommended on the weekends and holidays. it is a private, family-owned business, which is rare these days. The restaurant decor and atmosphere is continental with a crisp, clean, airy feel. The small bar area is cozy and warm, which doesn't take away from the restaurant. They also have a large upstairs room for private functions.
This is a full service restaurant and has almost any type of food you could ever want but their burgers are the one of the best in town. The thick, 8 ounce, juicy, sirloins can be prepared many ways. I like the cheeseburger with a big dill pickle, sourdough bun, ketchup, and a slice of onion.
The restaurant encourages customers can build their burgers any way they want. I have never been disappointed yet.

Friendly's Restaurant is located in the heart of town. It is a small franchise and started out 40 years ago mainly as an ice cream shop but their menu has expanded over the years and has become a staple. The decor reminds me of a soda shop with vinyl covered booths and Formica tables. It's not fancy, just clean and functional.
Their deluxe cheeseburger is not to be beat! This big, 100% Black Angus burger comes on grilled white bread, smothered in mayo, onions, lettuce, and tomato. I really like the grilled bread and don't miss the bun at all. It comes with fries and you can ad a delicious shake, but make room for dessert ! The are known for their many ice creams treats.

Applebee's Restaurant's atmosphere is family fun with vintage collectibles hanging on the walls. couples will also appreciate the cozy atmosphere on weekend dates. They are known for their real burgers but their little sliders are awesome! I think the food is exceptional for a chain restaurant.
The little "sliders" are very meaty and juicy. The buns are fresh and toasted, and the swiss cheese and onions makes them extra delicious. My three mini burgers are part of the appetizer menu but i had trouble finishing them. The staff is always helpful and friendly so I don't feel rushed.

Yes to The Beech Tree! Never disappointed! I would add The Garden Room at the Snapper Inn(actually in Oakdale). I think you have covered just about ALL the hamburger joints in EI. NOw if you want to go another mile to Islip.....
